R.R. Pollock Launches New Storytelling Tour Don’t Run Wild — Based on Memoir Journey to Long Nose
Edinburgh Fringe alum and author R.R. Pollock returns with a new live storytelling tour, weaving humor and identity into a performance that invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and see their own family stories in a new light.
Pollock’s memoir, Journey to Long Nose, now available on Amazon, was inspired by a local boy’s obsession with the size of Pollock’s nose, her family’s ever-changing history and Pollock’s fringe festival performances in the U.S. and Scotland. Audiences love the book for its creative spirit and Pollock’s blend of wit and honesty when dealing with past, present, and future identities: who we used to be, who we are now, and who we intend to become. Now, Pollock takes those themes on the road with Don’t Run Wild, a live performance series premiering in 2025.
“Stories carry our identities,” Pollock says. “Sometimes they’re the ones we inherit, sometimes they’re the ones we discover—and sometimes they collide in unexpected, hilarious ways.”
